Saint Joseph’s University Comeback Attempt Fails Against Fordham

Comeback Bid Falls Short for Hawks Against Fordham – Saint Joseph’s University

The Saint Joseph’s Hawks men’s basketball team staged a gallant comeback bid, but ultimately fell short in their matchup against the Fordham Rams on Tuesday night.

The Hawks found themselves in a huge early deficit, trailing by 17 points at halftime. They weren’t able to recover, as the Rams went on to win the game 77-70.

The Hawks were led by senior guard Ryan Daly, who had a team-high 18 points. Daly was the only Hawks’ player to score in double figures, as the team shot just 38 percent from the field.

Despite the loss, the Hawks showed some fight by outscoring the Rams 35-28 in the second half. The Hawks also held the Rams to only 37 percent shooting from the field.

The Hawks have now lost three games in a row, but still remain in third place in the Atlantic 10 conference. They will look to turn things around as they take on Duquesne on the road this Saturday.

The Hawks showed some resilience in their comeback effort against Fordham, but ultimately couldn’t get over the hump. They will have to regroup and focus on their matchup with Duquesne if they want to get back on track in the A-10.
