League of Legends: BDS Adam Reflects on Team’s Growth and Earning Respect

Teams often have to struggle in their early stages to gain respect from their opponents, but BDS Adam believes that his squad is well on its way to earning its place among the elite.

Adrien “Adam” Wyrzyk sees the bright side of things even when they’re not as rosy as they could be. As the starting Top Laner for BDS Esports, one of the top organizations in League of Legends Europe Championship(LCS), he has witnessed how his team went from an underdog to a legitimate contender to make a splash on the biggest stage. And, for Adam, there’s nothing better than earning respect through hard work and dedication to the game.

Early Struggles

Every team has its share of early struggles, and BDS esports is no exception. The unit started with players who were considered second-fiddles by other LCS teams, lacking the star power that some clubs have. And in their first splits, they failed to make playoffs, experiencing crushing defeats and demoralizing experiences.

Despite not having the most significant wins to show for their effort, Adam believes that those defeats laid the foundation for the team’s resilience and determination to be better. “We never lost confidence in ourselves because we knew we had talent, and we knew we could perform better,” Adam said. Their first winnings came in Week Seven of the Summer Split, and they were enough to catapult the team into playoffs in which they finished 4th.

Bouncing Back to Earn Respect

Fast forward to 2021, and BDS esports, led by Adam and ADC Adam “Ronaldo” Bokhari, is one of the most prominent LCS teams. The squad has the skill, the preparation, and the confidence to compete with the most exceptional clubs out there, and other players are starting to notice. The team has been so impressive this year that they have even surprised themselves. Adam admits that the ascent of his team has been unbelievably fast, and he attributes it to many factors.

“We have improved in almost every aspect,” he says. “From our team atmosphere to our individual skills, we have grown and progressed so much since we started. Our coaching staff has made a significant contribution, but our ability to learn from our losses has given us the edge we need to win.”

Looking Towards the Future

The LCS is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, with some of the best teams and players. But BDS esports is ready for the challenge. The team has proven that it can hang with the competition, and they’re gunning for more success as the season continues. Adam describes that the team is more hungry than ever, and their recent victories give them extra motivation to keep winning.

“For us, every game counts, and we never take a match for granted,” Adam says. “We know we have the talent to beat anyone, and we’re excited to prove it. If we continue to work hard, I believe we can climb even higher and achieve our goals.”
