“Custom ‘Sexual Harassment Simulator’ Mode Causes Confusion in Overwatch 2 Community”

Overwatch 2 community baffled as “sexual harassment simulator” custom mode
remains online

The Overwatch 2 community is baffled as the “ sexual harassment simulator” custom mode remains online.

The custom mode, which allows users to experience real-life harassment online, has been available on the game’s beta server for a number of months now.

The mode is often used by trolls to degrade and harass others in the game.

Yesterday, Blizzard said in a statement that it is aware of the mode and is working to remove it.

“We are aware of the existence of the sexual harassment simulator custom mode on the beta server, and we are working to remove it,” the company said.

“We hope that people will not use this mode to harassed others in the game.”

Blizzard has not commented on the mode’s continued availability.

The custom mode, which is a modification of the game’s map editor, allows players to create and share their own “ sexual harassment simulations”.

Some users have found the mode to be deeply offensive.

One user, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “This is a sick and twisted way to take advantage of people who are vulnerable.”

Others have defended the mode, arguing that it is a way to connect with other players.

“It’s not like Blizzard is going to suddenly start caring about the safety of their players,” one player said.

“This is a way for people to build some allies and make some friends.”
