But as the film progresses, we see that she has been through a lot – she has experienced the death of a loved one, she has been through the struggles of political unrest in her home country – and she has emerged as a more confident woman.
The film is filled with beautiful visual and auditory moments. Michelle Yeoh’s performance is brilliantly crafted, and she brings a depth of emotion to her role that is both moving and insightful.
